How to Structure your Video

STRUCTURING YOUR LONG FORM VIDEO

THE HOOK
A hook is the attention-grabber that gets your audience invested in
your video. It happens in the first few seconds and sets the tone for what
comes next. Your hook could be a question, a promise, or a visual.

THE INTRO
A video intro is the first thing your viewer will see immediately after
the HOOK. This is often a short title screen or a voiceover with on-screen
text or subtitles that explain what the video is about. Your video introduction
is your chance to make a great first impression.

COMMUNITY INTRO (5 SECONDS MAX)
This is the pre-recorded set intro for ALL your community videos highlighting
your community logo and town.

INTERVIEW
The interview is where we ask questions about the business such as their
specialties or any interesting fact that they want to share.

CLEVER ENDING & OFFER
The ending and offer is where you’re CLEVERLY showing off the featured
item or service and, if applicable, introduce an offer that you have
agreed upon with the business owner.

LIKE & SHARE THIS VIDEO ENDING
Say ‘Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to like and subscribe.’ This timeless
statement is a sure way to keep your viewers coming back. You can say it
towards the end of the video or just before the conclusion. However, you
must work on creating quality content that will keep your fans to the end so
that they hear the call to action.
