In order for the TownSite to communicate with the Social Media Channels you just set up—such as displaying their content, sending content via email and scheduling posts—you’ll need to connect them together. Let’s start by connecting TownSites and Facebook.
From the TownSite Dashboard, select Social Feed → Facebook Options from the left-hand menu.

To connect to Facebook we will need an API Token. Here’s how to obtain one.
- Double check to see that you are logged in under the TownSites Public Facebook account. Click Edit Settings.

- On the next page, ensure all boxes are checked, and then click Next.

- On the next page, flip all toggles to Yes and click Done.
- Click OK to go back to the TownSite.

If all went well, you should receive the message “Your Access Token is now working!” in green.
- Locate the Facebook page you created and click the green Save button.

Finally, paste the Facebook URL you saved while creating the page into the Facebook Page URL field.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the green Save All Changes button.
Automatic Posting
Next, we will grant TownSites permission to post on Facebook.
Select Social Auto Poster → Settings from the left-hand menu.

- Click the tab at the top, then scroll down to the Facebook API Settings box and click the Add Facebook Account button.
- Ensure you are logged in under the TownSites Public Facebook account. Click Continue As (your name).

- The next page deals with Facebook Groups, which doesn’t concern us. Click Next.

- On the next page, ensure all boxes are checked, and then click Next.

- On the next page, flip all toggles to Yes and click Done.
- Click OK to go back to the TownSite.

- You should now see your Facebook account in the box. Click the blue Save Changes button.
TownSites and Facebook should now be connected.
